Carolina Police investigate festive season crimes

According to Const Thabang Mokwana, spokesman of Carolina Police, a 12-year-old girl was raped on 17 December near a local primary school.

1. Carolina Police are investigating four cases of rape that occurred during the festive season.

A 37-year-old woman was raped by an unknown man on 15 December in Solibela, after she was on her way to a tavern.


2. According to Const Thabang Mokwana, spokesman of Carolina Police, a 12-year-old girl was raped on 17 December near a local primary school.

The identity of the suspect is unknown and the police are still busy with the investigation.


3. In a third incident on 21 December a 21-year-old woman was raped at Hebron Farm, after a man forced his way into the room she was sleeping in.

He was armed with a panga.


4. A 45-year-old woman was raped on 21 December after she was attacked on her way from a local salon in Carolina.

Const Mokwana said the suspect threatened the woman with a knife.

No arrests have yet been made and the Carolina Police are busy with the investigations.
