Ermelo residents raise funds to donate to those in need during lockdown

Ermelo residents raised funds to make donations on 3 April to those in need during the national 21-day lockdown.

Ms Thando Nkosi, a resident, began the initiative and reached out to others who agreed to assist.

A total of 59 people unselfishly made donations.

According to Ms Felicia Mkhaliphi, one of donators, they managed to raise about R50 000 with which they received and purchased food parcels, blankets and other essentials.

The parcels were handed over to underprivileged families in the community.
