Tactical police operation yields success arrest in Ermelo

The suspect was found in possession of R850 as well as 42 satchels of heroin with a weight of 20.3grams.

One person was arrested during a tactical police operation on 24 July.

Police with supporting K9 units from Ermelo and Standerton, conducted the operation.

A person driving a white Polo Classic was searched at the Thusi Village Total filling station in Ermelo.

The suspect was found in possession of R850 as well as 42 satchels of heroin with a weight of 20.3grams.

According to police, the estimated street value for these drugs is about R2 980.

The suspect faces charges of dealing in drugs and resisting arrest.

He first appeared in court on 27 July, it was not clear at the time of going to press when his next appearance would be.
