ERMELO – Ermelo police recently arrested a man in connection with a murder that took place in Ermelo.
According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, the spokesman for the Ermelo police, a 48-year-old man was arrested on 3 October.
It is alleged that the now-deceased and accused had an argument at a liquor outlet in Extention 5 Wesselton on 2 October 2021.
“During the argument, the accused stabbed the victim once in the neck,” she said.
She added the victim was taken to hospital, but unfortunately died due to his injury.
The accused is due to appear again in Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on November 19.
