ERMELO – Members of Acsu reacted to information from Ithemba Security regarding a robbery in Volksrust, and caught the suspects just outside Ermelo on the Amersfoort road.

The two suspects traveling in a Mercedes minibus, were arrested on the scene.

The stolen goods were retrieved from the vehicle they were travelling in.

Ermelo police and members of the Ermelo Traffic Department additionally chased after another vehicle suspected to be involved in a house robbery in town, but no suspects were found. 

According to information from Acsu, there exists the possibility that the suspects were also involved in a robbery in Ermelo on February 21.

The owners of a business that was also robbed yesterday, identified the two suspects that were caught.
