ERMELO – The Ermelo Police Sector Crime Forum is divided into four sectors, with Sg Bongiwe Lubambo overseeing Sector 2.
It covers nine areas, namely Cassim Park, Wesselton, Enomzamo, Phumula, Klipbou, Kwa- Mabuza, Extension 1, 2 and 5.
According to Sgt Lubambo, the most common crimes in her sector are rape, murder, business burglary, and house break-ins that are particularly common in Cassim Park and Extension 1.

Assaults in taverns, malicious damage to property, and motor vehicle theft have recently increased.
“Many rape incidents have been reported to the station, with the victims generally being young women. Victims who are afraid to report these incidents are urged to do so even if they do not know the offender, because we have medical examinations that can assist us to identify them,” Sgt Lubambo said.
The community should report suspicious criminal activities on 017 819 7803 and 082 419 6371.
