Carolina police arrest suspect in connection with possession of dagga weighing in at 113.6kg

Upon searching the bakkie, the officers discovered about 31 refuse bags starched with dagga weighing in at 113.6 kg.

CAROLINA – The Provincial Commissioner of the Mpumalanga police, Lt Gen Semakaleng Daphney Manamela welcomed the arrest of Sifiso Ronald Nkomo (28) for possession of dagga at Carolina on Monday, April 25.

Officers found 113.6 kg of refuse bags starched with dagga in the bakkie after searching it.

The dagga has an estimated street value of about R 170 400.

The man was then apprehended and charged with dealing in dagga.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the suspect was allegedly trafficking the dagga from the Kingdom of Eswatini into South Africa.
