One person dead another critical after stabbing at tavern in Carolina

It is believed that both men are residents of Hendrina

CAROLINA – The police were dispatched to Carolina Hospital after two men with stab wounds were admitted to the hospital on June 22 at about 00:30.

According to Sergeant Thabang Mokwana, the spokesperson for the Carolina police, when the police arrived, they found one victim had succumbed to his injuries shortly after they had arrived at the hospital and the other was in a critical condition.

“The deceased had stab wounds to his spine and hand. The second man has stab wounds to his ear, neck and back, and was transferred to Witbank Hospital,” Mokwana said.

He said it is alleged that both men, who are from Hendrina, had been stabbed in a local tavern in Silobela Township.

A case of murder and attempted murder was opened and the investigations continue.

No arrest has yet been made.
