Suspects appear in Amersfoort Magistrate’s Court for alleged drug dealing

The suspects were caught with 28 sachets of nyaope in their possession.

ERMELO – Two suspects appeared in the Amersfoort Magistrate’s Court on July 8, for allegedly dealing dagga.

The two suspects, aged 26 and 29, were arrested by members of the Standerton K9 Unit on July 6 during an intelligence-driven operation.

According to Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, a provincial police spokesperson, the K9 unit received information about two suspects who were dealing dagga at Sinqobile in Daggakraal.

The police proceeded to the house and found the suspects in possession of 28 sachets of nyaope, worth an estimated street value of R1 400, and arrested them.

The provincial commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela, has applauded the members for a job well done.
