Man (39) who allegedly stole from church in Wesselton, pays for his sins with his life
A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection of the incident and due to make his second appearance at the Ermelo Magistrate Court on August 19.
WESSELTON – Police members responded to a murder scene in Ext 5 where the body of a 39-year-old man was discovered on August 12.
According to information provided, the deceased was found naked and covered with blood.
It is alleged that he was assaulted by community members after allegedly stealing chairs from a church.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on August 13 in connection with the incident and appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on August 15, facing chargers of murder.
The case has been postponed to August 19 for a bail application, and the police are expected to make more arrests.
