Louis Grobler to appear again in Ermelo Magistrate’s Court

He again appeared in court in August 29, when his defence team requested his bail conditions to be amended for him to only report to the police station once a week.

ERMELO – Louis Grobler (41), who is charged with attempted murder and assault, appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on October 21.

Grobler allegedly ran over two children, aged 10 and 11, and assaulted a third on July 15 at about 14:00.

He previously pleaded not guilty to the charges against him through an affidavit, and his defence team stated that the incident was an unfortunate accident.

Grobler first appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on July 18, when the case was postponed to July 20.

Conditional bail of R30 000 was granted to Grobler on July 26.

He again appeared in court in August 29, when his defence team requested his bail conditions to be amended for him to only report to the police station once a week.

At the time, these conditions stated Grobler had to report to the police twice every Friday, but his conditions were amended.

The case was postponed to February 10, 2023 for the results of DNA analyses.
