Carolina police confiscate knives, hats, caps and a beer during search at primary school
According to Sergeant Thabang Mokwana, spokesperson for the Carolina police, some classes were searched and the learners were addressed during the assembly on how to conduct themselves in school.
CAROLINA – The Carolina Police Station’s commander, Lieutenant Colonel MJ Mashinini, some detectives and Vispol members conducted an awareness campaign at Sobhuza Primary School on October 24.
According to Sergeant Thabang Mokwana, spokesperson for the Carolina police, some classes were searched and the learners were addressed during the assembly on how to conduct themselves in school.
“During the search, knives, hats and caps, which were not part of school uniform, were confiscated, and one learner was found with a can of beer.”
Mokwana said the learners were addressed about the consequences of carrying weapons and drugs on the school premises, and encouraged the learners to respect the law.
