WATCH – Moment one of the trucks between Ermelo and Mkhondo is set alight captured

MKHONDO – Highvelder received video footage showing moments before one of the trucks on the N2 between Piet Retief and Ermelo were set alight.
On the video it can be heard how one of the suspects tell the driver to open the doors.
The driver, who stopped the truck got out before the suspect jumped in the truck and poured a flammable liquid on the seats and set it alight.

According to Mpumalanga Police spokesman, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the four trucks were burned this morning at around 05:30.
Three sustained a lot of damage while only the cabin of one caught on fire.
One woman sustained burn wounds on her feet as she was allegedly asleep in one of the trucks.

More than twenty trucks had so far been torched in three provinces.
