Msukaligwa Municipality launches weekly programme to focus on service delivery issues

She said the municipality would also be focusing on roads in the location, including Mthambama Road in Thembisa and Msheveni.

ERMELO – Msukaligwa Local Municipality (MLM) officials and the executive mayor, Cllr Shelly Nkosi, were seen repairing potholes in Horster Road with a Jetpatcher on September 15.

Residents had previously raised concerns about the deteriorating roads in the area.

According to Nkosi, the municipality has recently launched a weekly programme with which they will be focusing on issues of service delivery in the area.

“Together with local ward councillors, we are currently focusing on roads that are regularly used by taxis. We are currently focusing on this road as it is mostly used and goes into Ext 32, 33 and 34,” she said.

She said the municipality would also be focusing on roads in the location, including Mthambama Road in Thembisa and Msheveni.

“When we talk service delivery, we also include the cleaning up of illegal dumpsites in the area, and we urge communities to work with us by ensuring they keep their areas clean so that we can have progress.”
