GSDM urges council to make impactful decisions this year

The speaker also extended a warm welcome to every new council member who had been chosen in 2022 during the by-elections.

ERMELO – The Gert Sibande District Municipality’s (GSDM) speaker, Cllr Busisiwe Sekhonde, welcomed back all council members who had taken time off for the holidays.

Sekhonde asked the council members to take decisive actions that will improve the quality of life for residents of the Gert Sibande District.

The speaker also extended a warm welcome to every new council member who had been chosen in 2022 during the by-elections.

Sekhonde additionally expressed condolences to the families, the various political parties represented in municipal councils, the communities and friends who had recently lost municipal leaders and councillors, including PK Nkosi of the EFF in Chief Albert Luthuli, a former member of the GSDM council who had served on council committees, and Cllr Kent Nyamade of the ANC in Dipaleseng.
