Government officials and EPWP workers join forces for imbizo in Ermelo

In addition to the road repair efforts, the government officials and EPWP workers also engaged in separate community initiatives. 

In a display of commitment to public infrastructure, government officials and workers under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) came together on June 9 to address the persistent issue of potholes on the road to Morgenzon.

The deputy minister of public works and infrastructure, Bernice Swarts, and other esteemed officials took part in an intense flurry of activity aimed at fixing and patching this deteriorated road.

Joining Swarts were the deputy minister in the presidency, Pinky Kekane MP, the Mpumalanga MEC for public works, road and transport, Mandla Ndlovu, the Mpumalanga MEC for public works, roads, and transport, Cllr Mapulane Precious Nkosi, the Msukaligwa Local Municipality’s executive mayor, Councilor Phalaborwa Vincent Malatsi, the acting Gert Sibande District Municipality’s executive mayor, and various councillors from the Msukaligwa Local Municipality.
