Repairs complete: Gradual power restoration underway in Ermelo

The municipality has apologised for the inconvenience caused.

Mandla Zwane announced that the repairs have been completed. The municipality will now begin restoring power section by section while monitoring the load.


Eskom arrives on-site to assist with electricity outage in Ermelo

Recent power disruptions have affected several areas in Ermelo due to a loose connection on the 88kV overhead feeder line.

The outages have impacted all areas connected to the 88kV substation, including Ermelo suburbs, the CBD, and Ext 32 to 34.

According to Mandla Zwane, Msukaligwa Local Municipality’s spokesperson, technicians from Eskom were alerted and have now arrived on-site to address the fault.

The municipality apologised for the inconvenience caused and assures residents that efforts are underway to restore electricity as quickly as possible.

Residents are encouraged to treat all electricity as live during this time.
