Gert Sibande District Municipaity mourns death of councillor

GSDM speaker, Busisiwe Sekhonde, described her death as a significant loss to the district and its people.

CAROLINA – Cllr Jabulile Ndebele, a PR councillor who served the Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality and a member of the Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) Council since 2021, has passed away.

Her death has been described as a significant loss to the district by the GSDM speaker, Busisiwe Sekhonde.

She expressed condolences on behalf of the municipality, describing Ndebele as a committed public servant who played an important role in the development of the district.

“She was vibrant, passionate and committed to public service,” said Sekhonde.

“Her contributions to council decisions will be remembered with great respect and admiration.” Ndebele was a member of the EFF.

Sekhonde extended sympathy to her family, the EFF, and all who worked with her.

“May her soul rest in peace,” she said.
