Ermelo households without water after pipe bursts

Burst pipe disrupts water supply in several Ermelo streets. The Msukaligwa Municipality is working to repair the damage.

ERMELO – Residents in parts of Ermelo are currently facing an unexpected water supply disruption following a burst pipe at the corner of Hardewyk Road and Veldwyk Avenue on Monday, July 7.

The Msukaligwa Local Municipality indicated that its maintenance team was dispatched to the scene shortly after the break was reported.

Affected areas include:

  • Hardewyk Road
  • Veldwyk Avenue
  • Telgter Road
  • Pick n Pay business district

No estimated time of restoration had been provided at the time of going to print.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time,” the statement reads.
