Unroadworthy vehicles suspended during roadblock in Ermelo
The department collected R29 150 on outstanding fines through the Automated Number Plate Recognition system, Nyamsoro.
ERMELO – As Transport Month continues, the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison conducted a roadblock on the N17 road to Bethal, outside town.
More than 130 vehicles were stopped and checked during the roadblock, and 33 fines were issued for various violations.

Three unroadworthy vehicles were suspended.
Motorists and passengers were educated on road safety through the distribution of pamphlets.

The department collected R29 150 on outstanding fines through the Automated Number Plate Recognition system, Nyamsoro.
This roadblock was one of many activities currently taking place in the province during Transport Month, to ensure the safety of all road users.
