Alton Mphethi arrested in connection with stock theft

ERMELO – Alton Mphethi, former disgraced president of the PAC, appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on September 11 on three charges of livestock theft.

The complaints stem from three incidents committed on July 19 and October 5 and 6, 2022, respectively.

During the respective incidents, 22 cattle worth R420 000 were stolen.

The case was adjourned to September 18 for a bail application.

The accused is in custody.
