De Emigratie accident: pedestrian hit by taxi, succumbs to injuries

A minibus taxi hit a pedestrian near the slip way of the Pick ’n Pay centre in De Emigratie Street, late this afternoon, November 1.

Police, traffic official and the provincial ambulances services were on the scene.

According to medical personnel, the pedestrian was in a critical condition and was admitted to Ermelo Provincial Hospital with a leg fracture and head lacerations.

Unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
