Both the learners and the teachers dressed up as their favourite storybook characters.

Laerskool Ermelo celebrated World Book Day on May 3.

World Book Day is celebrated annually on April 23 and aims to encourage reading among children.

Both the learners and the teachers dressed up as their favourite storybook characters.

The school thanked all the learners and parents for their efforts with the costumes.

“We were blown away by everyone’s creativity,” said the principal, Annelize Gouws.

There were also prizes for the best-dressed learners in each grade.
