NOTICE TO CONDUCT AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR THE PROPOSED LISTED ACTIVITIES
An application for an Environmental Impact Assessment in terms of Government Notices 983 and 984 for the following listed activities will be sent to the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs Mpumalanga province
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED ACTIVITIES
(i) The clearance of an area more than 20 hectares of indigenous vegetation, excluding where such clearance of indigenous vegetation is required for
– The undertaking of linear development; or
– Maintenance purposes undertaken in accordance with a maintenance management plan, listed activity 15 of Listing Notice 2, 2014 as amended; and
(ii) The development of cemeteries of 2500 square meters or more in size, listed activity 23 of Listing Notice 1, 2014 as amended
The proposed cemetery will take place at Somaphepha village, Steve Tshwete Local Municipality
