We asked members of the community what they thought about the news that the Camden Power Station may not be closing down after all.

Bennie van Tonder: Dit sal ’n goeie ding wees as die kragstasie nie toemaak nie. Dit bied werksgeleenthede vir baie mense.

Amanda de Bruyn: Dit sal goed wees vir die ekonomie van Ermelo as die kragstasie nie toegemaak word nie. Baie werksgeleenthede sal behoue bly.

Lindile Sokhulu: That’s good news indeed. A lot of jobs will be lost if Camden closes down. So yes, I’ll be happy if they don’t close it down.

Amanda Engelbrecht: Dit sal goed wees as Camden nie toegemaak word nie. Mense sal hul werk kan behou en vir hul gesinne sorg.

Newman Dela: They can close it down and erect a nuclear power station. People can still have jobs there. The coal pollutes the air with smoke.
