If you’re big on the holiday cheer, then a Christmas tee is a must. But for many of us, it is often an expensive endeavour in shopping for a Christmas tree and added to that, Christmas decorations.
So, why not get creative and create your own Christmas decorations. It’s a good way to save money and give your own personal take to your tree.
Here are some fun DIY tips for the perfect Christmas tree:
- Make your own custom napkin rings by spray-painting roses with silver and gluing them atop of red ribbon. Tuck in a few green leaves and you have your very own napkin ring.
- Get different coloured ornaments for the tree. Once you have the ornaments, dip your thumb into the paint and place your thumb print lightly onto the ornament.
- Print a picture of each family member and paste it onto your Christmas ornament, hang this on your tree for the most personal touch.
- Create your own paper angels and decorate them with glitter, add this to the top of your tree
- Dip pine cones in gold paint (either partially or all of the way) or use a mixture of water, glue, and glitter for a sparkling effect. Place on side tables, beside your Christmas Tree or use to fill baskets and bowls.
