The head of school, Dr Barbara Bowley said she was extremely proud of the Matric Class of 2021.

“Our learners worked exceptionally hard and with dedication, despite the challenges schools faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” she said.

Bowley added that she wished all of the learners the best for 2022.

“We look forward to hearing of their future success,” said the proud principal.

Sibisi said she was overwhelmed with her results and felt ‘beyond grateful’ for having her hard work pay off.

“It has been a challenging journey with multiple obstacles throughout the examination period. However, I am proud of myself for being able to overcome it all. It was undoubtedly through God’s grace and having a well-structured support system, in the form of family and my school,” said the hard-working learner.

Sibisi advised the Matric Class of 2022 to work hard work from the very beginning and to adhere to their plan of action, no matter their circumstances.

“I advise them to identify the areas of work they are weak in now and constantly work to better themselves for those November exams. Lastly, have fun. You are only in matric once!” she said.

Sibisi hopes to study medicine at the University of Stellenbosch.
