Gillitts celebrates 60th anniversary

Gillitts Primary School will be celebrating it's 60th anniversary on 3 October.

GILLITTS Primary School (GPS) will be celebrating its 60th anniversary with a dinner dance on Thursday 12 October at Hillcrest High School Hall (40 Shortlands Avenue, Hillcrest).

Tickets cost R50 per person and the tickets will be available at the school.

Shrish Haroon, a former GPS pupil, will be providing live entertainment at the event.

“I was appointed principal on 15 May. My vision has been to guide GPS into a school of spirituality, which is safe, aesthetically pleasing and an environment conducive to effective teaching and learning. I can say with pride and conviction that together with my staff, governing body and the assistance of the community as well as the pupils of the school, we have been able to strive for excellence, despite our challenges,” said Arti Jadoo, principal of GPS.
