DOZENS of Highway residents gathered at the beautiful Tanglewood Farm last Saturday for the Kloof Conservancy’s butterfly day.

The joint venture with Lepsoc (Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa) had butterfly enthusiasts of all ages occupied with its activity tables dotted around the small dam, covering the different stages of a butterfly’s life, from the egg stage to metamorphosis, and face painting and colouring in for the children.

There were two guided walks, one through the grasslands and another in the forest and stream area.
