Hills come alive with song

Curro Hillcrest Christian Academy, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kloof, hosted another successful Festival in the Hills event.

IT was a day of song and celebration at the family-friendly Festival in The Hills 2017.

The event, hosted by Curro Hillcrest Christian Academy, featured Ladysmith Black Mambazo and the newly formed Drakondale Girls’ Choir School.

This year’s theme, Songs of our Fathers, Songs of our Youth, was a nod to songs old and new.

Artistic director of the event and the conductor of the Drakondale Girls’ Choir School, Judith Hawthorn, conducted the massed choirs.

With the support of the Rotary Club of Kloof, the learners from Lamula Primary School in Molweni also joined in on the singing and excitement of the day.

All proceeds from Festival in the Hills go to The Rotary Club of Kloof to further its projects.
