Waterfall church spreads Christmas spirit

IN a move to reignite the spirit of Christmas, Christ Church Waterfall hosted a combined carol service with other churches in Waterfall at the weekend.

“We are wanting people, amid the chaos and consumerism of Christmas, to be reminded what it is really about. We want them to discover it was God sending Jesus to save us,” said the church’s Dorian Reece.

As a fun surprise for the children, before the carol service began, Father Christmas arrived on the back of a beautifully crafted chariot, pulled by his helper elves, and handed out treats.
