Golf day for a good cause

Don't forget to join in the Focus on iThemba Golf Day, taking place on Friday 23 August at Kloof Country Club.

PFIRESTORM, a local business technology provider based in Winston Park is organising an annual Golf Day to raise funds for a local non-profit organsation Focus on iThemba.

Focus on iThemba said the school is grateful for the second year running to be their charity of choice.

“The Golf Day is taking place on Friday 23 August at Kloof Country Club and Citroën has stepped up to be the key sponsor once again.

Robbie Henderson and Khyl Reddy from Citroën have been instrumental in generating donations for Focus on iThemba. They have already donated a generous R20 000 and they have promised a brand new Citroën C3 for a lucky draw of all golfers who achieve a hole-in-one on the 18th hole.

Gavin Kruger, Focus on iThemba CEO said, “At Focus on iThemba children are given the highest priority.

“At the iThemba Academy children are offered quality, stimulating foundation phase education which is so crucial for cognitive, physical and emotional development.

“It is through support from the community demonstrated through events like these that we can continue offering hope to our youth.

“This wonderful donation from Citroën and other donations from the day will be chandelled towards bursaries for our Grade R intake for 2014. “We are currently raising funds for 15 bursaries,” said Gavin.

Each child at our iThemba Academy is supported by a bursary donor.
