Hillcrest soccer girls net the big time

Eight Hillcrest High School pupils were chosen to represent KZN in the provincial soccer tournaments in Gauteng this September.

HILLCREST High School’s girls’ soccer teams have had a tremendous season, with the cherry on the cake being the first team’s win at the SA Sports Tours Schools Soccer Tournament in East London recently.

The team has only suffered one loss for the entire season.

The players’ success is capped with the selection of eight of the pupils being selected for the KZN girls’ soccer teams touring Gauteng from Friday 20 to Monday 23 September.

Hlengiwe Zondi and Jennifer Lenz were chosen to represent the U14 team, Tanne Smith and Londeka Zuma were chosen to play for the U16 team and Kristen Cheney, Nokwazi Mnomiya, Lauren Smythe, Thando Ndelu were chosen to play for the U19 KZN girls’ soccer team.
