Gelofte T’s off at fundraiser

Gelofte School held a Golf Open to raise funds for the school.

GELOFTE School in Pinetown held its 15th Gelofte School golf open at Beachwood Country Club on 11 October.

A large number of players participated, including rugby legends Albert van den Berg, Hugh-Reece Edwards, Nico Breedt and Gelofte old boy, Jaco Pretorius.

The day was a huge success for the school as far as the support of parents, pupils, celebrities and a large number of companies were concerned.

The format was a nomination four-ball alliance which ensured that every player had to try his or her utmost to score on every hole.

A huge amount of money was also raised at the function through the auctioning of memorabilia.

Principal, Danie Strydom, thanked everyone who supported the day. “We trust that you will be back next year for another fun day with friends and supporters of the school,” said Strydom.
