Family fun at Shongweni Sharks Trail Adventure

THE second Stihl Sharks Trail Adventure which takes place on 8 December at Summerveld Estate in Shongweni provides families with a beautiful day in the countryside while getting their last fix of mountain biking and trail running for the year.

It is also the perfect opportunity for Sharks fans young and old to rub shoulders with some of their rugby heroes and favourite Sharks mascot – Sharkie!

The day has something for every member of the family, not only out on the trails, but fantastic live entertainment and lifestyle activities in the race village as well.

Race details:

7.15 am – 18km Trail Run (Early bird entry R120, Pre-entry R140, Late entry R160)

7.30am – 9km Trail Run (Early bird entry R90, Pre-entry R110, Late entry R130)

7.40am – 40km MTB (Early bird entry R140, Pre-entry R170, Late entry R180)

8.00am -19km MTB (Early bird entry R110, Pre-entry R130, Late entry R150)

10.00am – 10km Family Ride (Early bird entry R50, Pre-entry R50, Late entry R50)

11.00am – 2km Sharkie Kids Ride (Free!)

Registration: Summerveld Estate, 5.30am to 8am.

The Shongweni Farmers Market will run an exclusive Sunday market on the day and great live post-race entertainment will enable participants, their families and the general public to enjoy the cool shade of the picturesque Summerveld trees and create a magnificent atmosphere so be sure to bring your braais and picnic blankets with you!
