Focus on iThemba receives donation

Focus on iThemba receives a generous donation of R52 959 from FNB.

FIRST National Bank hosted the spectacular Starlight Pop Opera with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra recently and Focus on iThemba were fortunate to be their charity of choice. Brighter futures are a priority at Focus on iThemba, a non-profit organisation based in Hillcrest overlooking the Valley of 1000 Hills.

Gavin Kruger, chief operations officer at Focus on iThemba said, “We are delighted by this generous donation of R52 959 from FNB, which we will channel towards sustaining the good work that occurs here daily.

“Since Focus on iThemba’s inception nearly 10 years ago many children have found hope and a path to positive futures.

“We provide loving foster care homes for previously vulnerable children, where they can experience a stable family hub and excellent education.

“The iThemba Academy, based on the 48-acre campus, provides children with first-rate foundation phase education so they are equipped for future schooling.

“Our community engagement programme supports crèches in the Embo Valley.

“External support is vital to sustain Focus on iThemba as we are dependent on funding. Those who visit the campus are impressed with their integrity and the warm atmosphere on the campus,” said Kruger.

Anyone who would like to visit iThemba campus can contact Heather on 031 710 1800,” said Kruger.
