Woman crashes after blackout
A Cresholm woman narrowly survives a crash after she suffered a black-out.

CRESTHOLM resident, Sandra Gouws was lucky to escape serious injury when she veered off the road and crashed into nearby bushes on Inanda Road, Hillcrest after losing consciousness while driving on Tuesday 19 November, at approximately 2pm.
According to Steven King, of Waterfall Crime Watch, Gouws was shaken up after the incident, but had suffered no serious injuries.
Gouws said, “I blanked out and felt myself fumble and land on the bottom of a cliff. I crawled out of the vehicle to Inanda Road and flagged down a gentleman who helped me. I think when I was unconscious I rolled with the crash and that prevented any serious injuries. I am just lucky I did not hit any of the trees”.
The cause of Gouws’s black-out is unknown. She said she will be going to a nearby hospital to have herself checked out.
