PBHS pupil crowned Mr KZN teen

Pinetown Boys' High School pupil Seluleko Msweli to represent KZN in Mr South Africa Junior auditions.

GRADE 11 pupil from Pinetown Boys’ High School, Seluleko Msweli (17) was recently crowned Mr KZN Teen.

He was chosen from eight finalists at the Durban City Hall and has also been selected to represent KZN in Pretoria in May for the Mr South Africa Junior auditions.

Confident Seluleko, who lives in Marriannridge, believes that his charm and great personality played a huge role in getting the crown.

“I believe in myself and once I put my mind to something I make sure I get it.

“I was very excited and surprised when they called out my name.

“I have always had a passion for modelling. In 2011, I joined a modelling agency which really helped me to improve my skills,” said.

Seluleko models for clothing shops and for fashion designers. He also took part in Mr Pinetown and Mr Durban Youth Centre.

This young man is not just good looking, he also does public speaking, achieves good marks and is in the school choir.

“I have learnt a lot in the modelling industry as we are involved in community service. We visit different organisations, donate clothes and uplift the community.

“I am grateful to my family, people from my church (the New Testament Community Church, house of many blessings) and my friends for their support and encouragement. I would also like to thank my mentor Mlungisi who was Mr Pinetown 2012. He has really inspired me,” he said.
