Valley Trust Foundation receives égg-citing’ donation

Barney Eggs donates 2500 dozen eggs to Valley Trust Foundation.

BARNEY Eggs donated 2 500 dozen eggs to the Valley Trust Foundation in Botha’s Hill recently.

According to Linda Macnab of Barney Eggs, the company had a fantastic December season and therefore wanted to give back to the community.

“We asked one of our customers, Oxford Meats, who we should donate the eggs to and the owner, Brett Latimer, suggested the Valley Trust Foundation,” said Linda.

She said they were met by Nina Howell of the Valley Trust Foundation and a friendly bunch of volunteers from the valley and from far afield as England. They formed a human chain to help off load the 100 cases of eggs. These volunteers have planned to take the eggs down into the valley and distribute them among the many crèches and schools.

Barney’s is situated in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal and is one of the largest, independent, integrated, egg producing farming enterprises in the province.
