three injured in head-on collision in Kloof

THREE people were injured after a truck and a bakkie collided head-on along Bridle Road, Kloof this morning at around 10.14am.

Reports from the scene indicate that one man was thrown off the back of one of the vehicles and landed down an embankment on impact.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that two patients were still trapped in the twisted remains of the vehicles. While the Netcare 911 rescue officer used the Jaws of Life to free the injured from the twisted metal medics worked tirelessly to stabilise the injured at the scene.

After the patients were treated at the scene paramedics transported them to a local hospital for further care.
