IT was all fun and smiles at the Braai for Hope, held at Benjamin Pine Primary School, at the weekend.
Highway residents took along their braaing utensils and meat and took part in the braai competition. There was a jumping castle for the children and live entertainment by Irish dancers, Connecting Stars, Prodigal Road, Rowan Stuart and Alex Walker.
All funds raised were donated to local NPO, Hope House.
“The fundraiser was just awesome as it will raise funds for us to help move forward with the children and buy them the things they need,” said Sonja Swinton of Hope House.
She also thanked sponsors, Boxer, who donates to the NPO on a regular basis and who donated the chips and cooldrink for the event. She thanked ADT for sponsoring the main prize of the braai competition, a fully installed R3 000 alarm system, Benjamin Pine for allowing them to use the field and I and M Technologies for donating the jumping castle for the morning.
