Four injured in freak accident

FOUR men narrowly escaped with minor injuries when their two bakkies collided on the M13 near Hillcrest on Tuesday morning, 8 April.

According to Derrick Banks, of ER24, the bonnet of one of the vehicles came loose and hit the windscreen, causing the driver to slam on his brakes. The second vehicle subsequently crashed into the first and pushed it and its driver down an embankment.

After paramedics arrived on scene they assessed the men and determined that they had suffered only minor injuries, such as cuts and bruises.

The four men were treated and transported to a nearby hospital.

Hillcrest SAPS was unable to comment.
