We Called Him Madiba book launch
Photographer Matthew Willman launched his new book, We called him Madiba, in Hillcrest.
Hillcrest High School played host to a very special occasion when local photographer, Matthew Willman launched his new book, We called him Madiba, on Tuesday 22 April.
The commissioned photographer for the Nelson Mandela Foundation, waited more than 10 years to share his work with the world.
His book launch on Tuesday saw him engaging with his own community for the first time since he began working for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
Matthew released the book, We called him Madiba, a 10 year photographic journey earlier this month. He said his book features a photo essay about Madiba that he was never allowed to share with anyone other than the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
