Rock and roll at school musical

Don't miss the rock musical that will be held at PBHS Hall from Monday 12 May to Saturday 17 May.

PINETOWN Boys’ and Pinetown Girls’ High School present their rock musical “I wanna Rock” from Monday 12 May to Saturday 17 May and everyone is welcome.

This is an annual event between PBHS and PGHS, where both schools get to be part of the performance.

This year’s musical will be hosted at PBHS Hall.

Life Orientation teacher at PBHS and an old boy Brent White who wrote this year’s musical said the movie, Rock of Ages inspired him to write it and the first draft was finished in five minutes.

“This year’s scripture is about young people falling in love through rock music.

“This is also for the love of the school and keeping its high standard as I matriculated in this school in 1998,” he said.

White urged people of all ages to come and watch “I wanna Rock” as there are a variety of popular songs that everyone is familiar with.

On Wednesday 14 May there will be an evening performance at 7pm and entry will cost R20. There will be another evening performance on Thursday 15 May where the entrance will be R40.

On Friday 16 and Saturday 17 May there will be a picnic supper at 6pm which will cost R50.

To book your tickets contact the school on 031 701 5046.
