Local dancers twirl to the top
Six dancers from Dance2Dance International won their sections at the KZN Open Dancesport Championships recently.
INSPIRING dancers from Dance2Dance International won the KZN Open Dancesport Championships at the Hellenic Hall in Durban North recently.
The competition was held by SADTA and adjudicated by top international adjudicators, Andrew Cuerden and Viktoriya Wilton.
Melloney Rijnvis of D2D International congratulated the hard working dancers, trainers and parents who supported the event.
“Dancesport which is Latin American and Ballroom Dancing, requires many hours of training and effort behind the scenes to reach the high standard on the floor that is demanded by the sport,” said Melloney.
All dancers from D2Di Dance Studio in Kloof Village Mall won each of their sections danced. Each one of them took the KZN title graciously. They are Tayla Gibson and Nick Browne, Dylan Botes and Madison Bromfield and Ethan Bromfield and Joanna Chiang. Tayla and Nick then went on to Johannesburg to compete in the West Rand Challenge and won the title there as well.
