Man critical after eight metre fall

A man is being treated after falling eight metres at a company in Hammersdale.

A MAN in his 30s is in a critical condition after falling eight metres at a company in Hammersdale on Friday morning.

Russel Meiring, Emergency Media and Client Liaison Coordinator at ER24 said when paramedics arrived on scene, they found the patient lying on his side, motionless.

“When he was assessed, they found that he was barely breathing and he had also sustained severe injuries to his head and back when he fell.

Advanced life support was performed to stabilize the patients vital signs before he was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The exact cause of the incident is still unknown
