UPDATE: Fire in Waterfall deliberately set

A witness says fire was arson.

UPDATE: The witness claims that the suspect set the fire on Rainbow Drive, Waterfall. He apparently did the same thing last year but the results were not as damaging.

Damages that occurred as a result of the fire included damage to outbuildings, another resident lost fields of winter feed and another resident, lost four garages with old cars in them.

Fires that raged throughout the Waterfall area were deliberately set according to a witness.

The fire was set at about 3am in the grass in the Brackenhill Road area , Waterfall and the fire soon spread rapidly through the Brackenhill Valley area, Molweni and jumped across to Horseshoe Crescent.

According to Steven King from SA Community Crime Watch, fire engines from Hammarsdale and Pinetown had to be dispatched to help the Gillitts fire station as they were already dealing with the fires that were occurring in the M7 area.
