Robbery, car theft reported in Ashley
Household goods, money, and a vehicle (Kia Picanto) was stolen in the two incidents.
ASHLEY Residents Neighbourhood Watch confirmed a house breaking in Pine Street in Pinetown on Wednesday afternoon.
According to their report, entry was gained through a bedroom window and small household goods and money were taken.
There was also another house robbery in Pine Ridge earlier that afternoon. It is alleged that two young men gained entry into the home, held up the gardener and an elderly couple.
The men fled with a few household items and the resident’s vehicle, a Kia Picanto, registration number NPN 39884.
“This sort of crime seems to be on the increase at the moment as we had a similar incident about three weeks ago in Caversham Road. Please be vigilant, keep security gates closed and report any suspicious movement,'” said the report.
