PJ empowers pupils through song and dance

Kloof High School played host to one of South Africa's renowned songstresses, PJ Powers, recently.

ON Tuesday afternoon Kloof High School played host to one of South Africa’s top performers, PJ Powers.

KHS was the first school that PJ visited during her book launch tour and the pupils said they were doubly honoured.

The Grade 10 and 11 pupils spent almost two enthralling hours listening to her life story. “She is incredibly energetic and kept the audience entertained with various songs, the most popular of which was, of course, Jabulani,” said Dawn Le Fort, principal of Kloof High School.

When the mini concert and talk had ended, the pupils were invited to dance along with her on the stage and then were given the opportunity to purchase her book, Here I Am, which she happily signed with personal messages. According to Le Fort, PJ Powers was the talk of the school for days after her visit.
