Second event of the 2014 Tough-Man Trail Series coming soon!

The countdown for the second event of the 2014 Tough-Man Trail Series has begun!
After a very successful first event in July, the second event in the three part Series is all set to take place on Saturday, 23 August, starting and finishing from Freedom Trails in Hillcrest (Plantations / M13 Off ramp), will new and even better routes.
The Tough-Man Trail Series gives competitors an amazing taste of trail-running while enjoying breath-taking scenery and wildlife.
Freedom Trails, situated opposite Plantations and bordering the M13 Highway provides easy access on and off the M13 highway and borders the Giba Gorge Conservancy which is home to a unique compliment of rare and threatened ecosystems with an impressive list of animals and plants.
The main events include a 8km and 16km Trail Run, which both start at 7am, and a children’s race which will consist of a 2km run around the safe and secure finish area starting at 9.30am.
There will be food and drinks available at the start / finish area and competitors are encouraged to dress up ! Prizes for the best dressed will be given on the starting line.

Registration for the events will take place at Freedom Trails on race day between 6am and 7am. The first 100 people to register on Saturday will get a Goodie Bag and a free Saturday Independent Newspaper.
